  About Radiesse

Radiesse™ is made up of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It does not contain any animal or human derived components.

Radiesse is an injectable implant which is soft, safe, simple and immediately effective. The cream-like texture of Radiesse stays soft, feels natural and remains in place for many months and up to 2 years.

Because Radiesse is biocompatible you do not need to wait for allergy test results and because Radiesse is biodegradable it caters beautifully to your ever-changing facial aesthetic needs.

  Treated Areas

Radiesse is injected into the mid to deep dermis following a local anaesthetic injection or application of local anaesthetic cream to minimise discomfort.

One of the main areas of use is correction of deep nasolabial (nose to mouth) folds. Also correction of lip lines and marionette lines, which make the sides of the mouth appear to droop. Contouring of the nose, cheeks, chin, jaw line together with filling out “hollow cheek” facial areas (lipoatrophy) is an ideal choice for Radiesse.

Daily activities for most people may be resumed immediately following injection, while others may need 24 hours.

  Side Effects After Treatment

Side effects are injection-related such as swelling, redness, pain, itching, discolouration and tenderness at the injection site, which usually resolve after a few days.

  Timescales Involved

Results may be seen immediately. Radiesse stays soft and pliable and will take on the characteristics of the surrounding tissue.

Results may last up to 2 years, however, individual results may vary affected by age, skin type, lifestyle and muscle activity.
